Amount

1 cup water
1 cup white sugar
1 cup fresh basil leaves

Directions

  1. Place 2 strawberries into a drink shaker and muddle
  2. Add vodka, lemon juice, and basil simple syrup
  3. Pour into a cocktail glass over ice cubes leaving enough room to top off with Rosé
  4. Garnish the side of your glass with a fresh strawberry

Basil Simple Syrup

In a small saucepan add water, sugar, and fresh basil leaves and bring to a boil stirring until the sugar dissolves. Reduce heat and simmer for 1 minute.

After simmering, remove from the heat and let the syrup sit for 30 minutes. Using a strainer for basil leaves, pour the basil simple syrup into a glass container with a lid to let it finish cooling and for easy serving.

Simple syrup stays good for around 30 days with refrigeration.
