1 oz. Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery Blaufränkisch or any dry Finger Lakes red wine
3 oz. rum
1 tsp simple syrup*
Juice from 1/2q lime, freshly squeezed

For the simple syrup:

1 cup water
1 cup white sugar

Directions

  • Combine Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery Blaufränkisch, rum, simple syrup, and freshly squeezed lime juice in a shaker with ice.
  • Shake vigorously until completely chilled.
  • Strain into a red wine glass.
Simple Syrup Instructions

In a small saucepan add water and sugar and bring to a boil stirring until the sugar dissolves. Reduce heat and simmer for 1 minute.

After simmering, remove from the heat and let the syrup sit for 30 minutes and store in a container easy to seal and serve from.

Simple syrup stays good for around 30 days with refrigeration.
