About the Winery
In 2011 Swedish Hill Winery celebrated its 25th Anniversary of producing quality wines in the Finger Lakes. The winery’s story actually began 42 years ago in 1969 when the Peterson family planted their first vines in order to sell grapes to other local wineries. Then in 1985 the first grapes were crushed for Swedish Hill, producing 1,200 cases. Today’s operations of Swedish Hill producing over 60,000 cases annually.
Wine tastings are offered daily at the winery from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. throughout the year. Swedish Hill Winery also have an eclectic gift shop where they offer beautifully decorated gift baskets, as well as personalized labels, wine racks, hand-painted glassware, wine jellies, gourmet mustards and dressings, and much more. the winery offers complimentary winery tours for all ages that includes: winery and vineyard History, visit press facility, explanation of pressing and equipment, and view brandy still and bottling room.
Tours are offered daily Memorial Day through October. During weekdays (Monday through Friday) tour times are at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.; weekend (Saturday & Sunday) tour times are 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. If you are interested in taking a winery tour let the tasting room staff know when you arrive that you’d like to participate in the next schedule tour!
