Wine is a land's noblest ambassador. Drinking a glass of wine allows one to discover a region's entire history. Rooster Hill combines two of life's great pleasures, scenery and wine. Rooster Hill will introduce you to the timelessness of Keuka Lake's landscape, with its vineyard-draped hills, its trees growing endless to the eye and meadows carpeted with bright flowers, while offering you the opportunity to taste the very best Finger Lakes wines.

To offset the unknowns in this business of mixing science and art, Rooster Hill has fitted the winery with state-of-the-art equipment for both the winemaking process and care of the wines. Such care has been taken to control the conditions that the entire operation can be managed by a handful of people to maintain the ideal conditions for aging and storing wines year round.

We are proud of our equipment—superlative French and American oak barrels for controlled aging—DiFrechesci Press (and Milani Crusher / de-Stemmer for production). The winery contains over 8000 gallons in stainless steel tanks and French oak barrels. A state of the art laboratory enables the winemaker to closely monitor the wines so that they can achieve their true potential. Rooster Hill takes an innovative approach in the area of wine production. We use the latest techniques in production and cooperate with manufacturers for the best results from their products.

Decorated Tuscan-style where the mood is relaxed, informal and down to earth, the interior of our tasting room, features the golden hues of the Tuscan sun, the red tones of the rich soil and the rich greens of the vineyards. Situated on top of a hill that is surrounded by vineyards, the wrap-around porch capitalizes on the sweeping views of Keuka Lake.
